Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who are the RPI Players?

A: The RPI Players is the oldest on-campus theater group. Membership is open to any and all students and members of the RPI Community who have an interest in theater. If you have performed, worked backstage, or even if you have never seen the inside of a theater before, you are welcome at the RPI Players.

Q: What is an "RPI Player"?

A: Strictly speaking, a Player is someone who has held two named production roles in productions of the RPI Players. An Apprentice to the RPI Players is one who has held only a single role. For the specifics of what this means, see our constitution under “Club Documents” in the Membership tab. If you haven't been initiated as a Player yet, don't worry! The only thing you are excluded from is voting at Players Meetings. All those with an interest in theater are encouraged equally to participate in the RPI Players!

Q: How do I find you guys?

A: For information on current auditions and technical roles, check the Current Season tab above.

Feel free to drop by for any amount time, at any time, to lend a hand. Technical skill is NOT a prerequisite. Fun work to suit any skill level is always available.
