[edit] EOP Post Mortem

Called to order 1:27pm

Set

- Kept project feasible

- Got most stuff done that was agreed upon with directors

- Productive work parties

- Tech Week hurt because of tweaking elevators

- Using set pieces in other shows in the area

- Extra work on elevators was great

- Elevator operation could have been figured out earlier

- Buy paint way ahead of time to make sure it is the right color

Costumes

- Using actors clothes helped a lot

- Personality conflicts with quick changes was a problem

- Great job

- Major costumes should work before minor adjustments to others are made

Lights

- Scrim made lighting difficult

- Lights should have been focused earlier

- Cues should have been done by Tech Sunday (part Bob’s fault too)

- UPAC Mainstage was in the way

- ASMs needed cues earlier

- Best blue ever

- Cool ballyhoo, Rent lights

- Raise roof of Playhouse

Sound

- No adding sound effects after Tech Sunday

- Fix broken sound cues

- Good job with the phone effect

Props

- Had fun with it, good intro to backstage

- Damien did a good job as a mentor

- Hard job to do alone

- Too many late props request

- Wasn’t clear on duties during the show

- Alcohol could have been more realistic

- Keep liquid containers clean

- Check props with directors and ASMs sooner

- Should have gone to rehearsals

Hair/Makeup

- Some actors were able to help out

- Not too much feedback from directors

- Things weren’t as organized as they should have been, took too long to find necessary makeup

- Needed to be stricter about keeping the dressing room clean and preserving supplies

- Could have used an assistant

- Taking photos/keeping notes helped a lot

- Character descriptions help a lot in design

- Needed someone who was here for every work party/rehearsals during Tech Week

House/Box

- Started on time every single night

- Not run very well outside of performances

- House should be set earlier

- House plot was good for EOP

- Adding to seats should have been taken care of by House, not everyone else

- Tickets were very last minute

- Should have had assigned seating instead of open house

- Ushers didn’t have any direction

- Doors shouldn’t be opened to the house until house lights are on (intermission/end of show)

- House needs a gelled flashlight to show people to their sears

- Booth lights and blowers should be turned off when the shows starts

- May need to write down show procedures

- Should have been around earlier

Publicity

- Publicity director did too much micromanaging

- Very few requests for bios

- John Cusack forever!

- More organized postering runs

- Too many post cards and business cards

- Creative publicity

- Better proofing – maybe write down procedure

- Put marquees up earlier

- Personal ads should not totally replace businesses, but they were a good idea

1000 Babes

- Productive rehearsals

- Three hour rehearsals were hard to schedule

- Needed cues earlier

- Went very well

- Laura’s critique helped a lot

Twicknam

- It was only 15 minutes

- Had learn how to use comm. And call cues

- Had to keep a level head

- Hard time keeping the cast on task

- Good job learning to reign in the cast

- Buster was the only one getting things in on time

Nature and Purpose

- Cast was really well trained by tech week

- Tech stuff done earlier is good

- After tech Sunday went really well, very accommodating

- Almost killed Marc’s love for theater

- Frustrating that most people didn’t like the show

- Melis did a great job, adapted well to change

- Pedro did a great job with fight choreography and good direction – would make a great director in the future

- Sound effect list should be more detailed

- Having an AD was a good thing

Stage Manager

- Very rewarding for Sara

- Prompt book making is fun

Producer

- Good EOP

- Comp tickets earlier

- Gino is still working on receipts

- Better communication about production issues than usual

- Duties split very well between SM/Producer

- Production meetings weren’t too focused

- Beginning of EOP was very well organized

All Things EOP

- Pants

- Llama

- Issues with casting?

- Camera for auditions is good
